New Features: World & Environment
Orbis exploration expands today with new lifeforms and major visual upgrades:
- Underground Jungles: Added dinosaurs and other unique NPCs. Note: You will need to generate new unexplored areas to find them.
- Atmospheric Effects: Devastated Lands sewers and volcanic areas now feature proper environmental effects and dedicated creature spawns.
- Feran Villages: Fixed entity placement, textures, and interiors for better immersion.
Balancing & Quality of Life (QoL)
The team has addressed community feedback to smooth out early-game progression:
- Backpack Rework: The base backpack is now easier to craft (Tier 1 Workbench instead of Tier 2, leather cost reduced from 16 to 8).
- Smart Crafting: Workbenches can now pull materials from chests up to 14 blocks away (up from 7).
- Night Exploration: Torches can now be placed on the ground while wielding a pickaxe or hatchet using the Utility Slot.
- Sleep Cycle: Players can now sleep starting at 7:30 PM to skip the night.
NPCs & Combat
Creature interactions are now more consistent and logical:
- Logical Immunities: Kweebecs no longer take damage from cacti, and skeletons can no longer drown.
- Predator Behavior: Cautious wildlife like foxes will no longer engage players unless attacked first.
- Golem Updates: The Crystal Earth Golem's combat behavior and signature spin attack have been significantly improved.
Technical Fixes & Performance
Several critical bugs were patched, including a glitch that allowed charged attacks without stamina cost and crashes related to character customization. Performance has been optimized for players using view distances below 128.
