Hypixel Studios and CurseForge launch a massive modding competition with a $100,000 prize pool. A unique opportunity for creators to shape the future of Orbis across three distinct categories.

Celebrating the Community

To celebrate the impressive milestone of 20 million mod downloads since the Early Access launch in January, Hypixel Studios has teamed up with CurseForge for the **Hytale New Worlds Modding Contest**. With 65 potential winners, this contest aims to boost technical and artistic innovation within the community.

            The 3 Participation Categories

Prizes and Rewards

The total $100,000 prize pool is distributed to reward a wide range of talent:

Grand Prizes: In each category, 1st place receives $10,000, 2nd place $7,500, and 3rd place $2,500.
Community Favorites: 5 creators will receive $2,000 each following a player vote.
Mid-Contest Drops: 30 rewards of $300 each will be distributed throughout the event to encourage ongoing projects.

Timeline and Registration

Submissions opened on March 3, 2026, and will close on April 28, 2026. Simon Collins-Laflamme noted that this contest also serves as a "scouting" session for the studio: the most talented modders might just receive a job offer!
